Can Soft Paws nail caps give my cat a nail fungus?

getting ur cat declawed doesn't hurt them its better for them if they are indoor cats just the front claws

Declawing is very inhumane. Not only is it VERY painful but many complications can come from it! They cut off part of their toes. Declawed cats can have poor behavioral problems, especially with using the litter box. ( first hand experience with that) Good for you for choosing another method. Anyways, Soft Paws are amazing and humane. Just make sure they stay all the way on, if the cat uses his claws a lot they might start to fall off. As for fungus I haven't heard of anyone having problems like that, however if he's an outdoor cat, learning to clip his nails yourself might be something to look in to. I've heard that in outdoor cats they have a tendency to fall off more, plus your cat needs its claws to defend itself. If he got into a fight and had soft paws on he'd be in real trouble.

Cat's claws are completely different from human nails. Cats shed the outer sheaths of their claws periodically. You have probably seen this around their scratching post (or couch).
