Does this sound like toe fungus?

I worked in Royal Mail for christmas and worse stupid pointy shows. I was on my feet for 8 hours, came home and my two big toes were throbbing.

Weeks went by and My one big toe nail looks bruised and my other one turned white. I expected it to go away so left it. Now a few more weeks and they are still the same, only the white one was hollow. There was no skin holding it on so I clipped it leaving an inch of nail (I was hoping I could clean in there and it would grow back)

Its very clean and not fleshy. Its hard pink skin where my nail is meant to be.

Does this sound like fungus? I am planning on going to the doctor but checking incase its something else and my nail will grow back.
